Evacuation Warnings Lifted as Containment of Fire in Santa Paula, California, Increases

All evacuation warnings were lifted on Tuesday, December 8, as crews increased containment of the Cornell Fire burning in Santa Paula, California, fire officials said.

The Ventura County Fire Department said the blaze was 20 percent contained on Tuesday. Officials said the fire was about 174 acres on Monday afternoon, and it did not grow overnight despite gusty Santa Ana winds in the region.
