Evacuations Ordered in California Amid Severe Flooding

Evacuations were ordered in parts of southern California on Friday, March 10, as a powerful atmospheric river brought heavy rain and flooding to the state.

According to the National Weather Service, a flash flood emergency was in place for Porter, East Porterville and Springville until Friday afternoon.

The Tulare County Sheriff issued evacuation orders to residents in the Three Rivers and Springville areas, and warned others to shelter-in-place.
