Bourne Free is set to return for 2024 with the annual pride celebration taking place across Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6.

Organisers said pride this year will be an "inclusive event where they can feel safe, be themselves, and fully immerse in the joyous atmosphere".

Across the two days, there will be workshops and educational sessions, providing opportunities to learn about LGBTQ+ issues and history.

Bourne Free 2024 schedule

The festival begins with a free Family Fun Night on Friday in Meyrick Park (4.30pm to 9.30pm), open to all, offering inclusive activities for the whole family.

Then, on Saturday, the festival continues with a parade beginning at 11am which will travel up to Meyrick Park.

From then the Pride in the Park with live music performances from local and national artists, drag shows and a range of food and craft stalls will take place (from 12pm to 10pm).

What is happening on the Friday Fun Night?

There will be lots of family-friendly entertainment on Friday which is hosted by Chris Jarvis on stage and around Meyrick Park.

People can also find educational areas, an art area and fairground rides among others.

Additionally, there'll be singers, drag queens and a tribute band on stage with a DJ set finishing the night.

Bourne Free 2024 parade details

The Bourne Free 2024 parade is set to begin at 11am on Saturday, July 6 down by the East Cliff lift.

A full route can be seen on the website here, but it will work its way up to Meyrick Park where the Pride in the Park celebration will then start.

Tickets will be needed for both the Family Fun Night on Friday and Pride in the Park event on Saturday, which can be found at the website here.

The Family Fun Night is free but a ticket still needs to be booked to enter the event.

The website adds: "Tickets guarantee entry until 6.30pm, if arriving after this time you may be refused entry if we are at full capacity."
