When is the release date for Netflix's Frankenstein?

There is no release date for Frankenstein right now, but alongside their casting announcement, Netflix revealed that the project was "coming soon." How soon? We need to know!

In an interview with Collider, Guillermo revealed the project was expected to begin filming in February 2024. "We start shooting in February, and it's a movie I have been wanting to do for 50 years since I saw the first Frankenstein," he said.

What is the plot of Netflix's Frankenstein?

Guillermo was first attached to the project all the way back in 2008, when he shared that he wanted to put a twist on his adaptation of the novel. "I'm not doing 'Mary Shelley's Frankenstein,'" he told Slash Film.

"I'm doing an adventure story that involves the creature. I cannot say much, but it's not the central creation story," he continued. Now, while other details of the plot are being kept tightly under wraps, we can expect Guillermo to put a super original twist and the story.
