Since its beginning, Christopher Storer’s breakout drama about the day-to-day struggles of a Chicago sandwich shop staff has premiered every season at the end of June each year.

Even after the strikes delayed TV production for months, “The Bear” has maintained that yearly pace with a new season this summer. In fact, Storer and his increasingly booked lead actors Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach managed to film the show’s fourth season back-to-back with the third, ensuring there will be a lot more of “The Bear” to come.
The consistency does mean that the events of “The Bear” Season 2 are still relatively fresh in its fanbase’s memories. But, if you still need a refresher and haven’t had the time to boot up Hulu for a rewatch, there’s a lot of info to keep in mind for the new season. After Season 1 felt like a bit of a prologue for the series, tracking jaded fine dining chef Carmy (White) as he took ownership over his late brother’s sandwich joint and recruited younger chef Sydney (Edebiri) to the business, Season 2 saw Carmy, Sydney, and Richie (Moss-Bachrach) make major changes in their lives. Most notably, The Beef became The Bear, as the staff revamped the hole-in-the-wall into a fine dining establishment.
