Plans for this year’s Prestwick Prom are well underway as the town gears up for another exciting event.

Taking place on Saturday, July 27, from 12pm, the community is set to be treated to full afternoon of fun and entertainment.

Special guests include Magic Malky and Fiona Young as well as ex-Singing Kettle and Funbox star Gary Copeland.

The Numpties from BBC show the Travelling Auctioneers will be making an appearance and there will also be some surprise “characters” to be revealed on the day.

Along with an improvement in the weather, Prom chairman Ronnie Caldow hopes to see a good turnout on the day.

He said: “What we’ve got is Dinosaur Invasion, Magic Malky, Fiona Young and Double Trouble who are doing circus acts.

“Gary Copeland who’s ex-Singing Kettle and Funbox, he’s going to be on stage doing a turn.

“We’ve also got the Numpties from the BBC’s Travelling Auctioneers plus the fun fair, a large vintage vehicle display and we’ve got alpacas coming.

“There is a dog show as well and the putting green will be open for anyone that wants to use it.

“Come along and have a fun day. Hopefully, the weather is 10 time better than it has been.

“There are a couple of things that are going to be surprises on the day as well, I’m just going to say characters and leave it at that.”
