Exact time Coventry General Election 2024 results are expected

It's less than 48 hours until polls open in the first UK general election for five years. Voters in Coventry and across the country will head to the ballot box on Thursday 4 July.

All 650 seats in the House of Commons will be contested and the outcome will decide the next government. Polls will be open from 7am to 10pm and anyone voting in person will need a valid photo ID

Seats up for grabs in Coventry are: Coventry East, Coventry North West and Coventry South. Votes will be counted at the CBS Arena.

The results for all three seats in the city are expected at around 3.30am, according to information compiled by the PA news agency. 22 candidates are standing in Coventry.

Labour, the Conservatives, the Liberal Democrats, Reform UK and the Greens are running in all three seats. There are also candidates from the Workers Party, Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition, Social Democratic Party and three independents.
