Thursday morning saw the grand unveiling of Sephora's first store in the North of England. Customers started queuing in the early hours at the Trafford Centre to be in with a chance of nabbing of the beauty brand's sought-after goodie bags.

Flanked by the beauty giant's iconic black and white stripes, the store held a pre-launch last night (May 15) with a number of stars turning out including Caroline Thomas and Alex Fletcher. As well as the exclusive £1,100 goodie bags being handed out, there were live performances from Liquorice Black, Sweet Female Attitude and Coco Cannell.

By 8am, thousands of customers were already in the queue even before the shutters were lifted. While all customers were treated to complimentary coffees and teas, the first 500 customers received a goodie bag jammed with beauty treats.

Fortunately for those who forgot to set their alarm clocks this morning, there will be more chances to receive a complimentary gift bag. To celebrate the opening weekend, Sephora will be giving away goodie bags for the next three days for the first 100 customers in the queue again.

The new beauty spot and the Trafford Centre have issued guidance on timings including when the store opens and when you can access the shopping centre from. On May 17, 18 and 19 you can receive a wristband to redeem a Sephora goodie bag if you are one of the first 100 in the queue.

The shopping centre has said that anyone arriving bright and early should go directly to link bridge 1 at Upper Regent car park (next to the bus station), but all entrances to the centre will remain closed until 5am at the very earliest. Store hours are Friday 10am-10pm, Saturday 9am-10pm, and Sunday 12pm-6pm. Sunday's timings may change, and the store will issue updated guidance if required.
