New and exciting events and activities for the May half-term holidays

Ensure the family is entertained for hours with one of the many events and activities happening this May half-term.

Whether you want to explore a house flipped on its head or try your hand at the legendary Ninja Warrior trial, there's no shortage of exciting activities to explore.

Monster stage shows and themed days out are also the perfect option if you prefer to take it easy or strive for something more creative.

Below are some of the new and exciting events happening over the May half-term holidays.

The Little Circus

The Little Circus will offer a series of exciting workshops with guidance from the experts, where they can try their hand at juggling, take on spinning plates, or show off their moves with the colourful art of ribbon dancing.

Professionals will hold performances of their own as jugglers will show off their skills outside Revolucion de Cuba throughout the day from 10.30-2pm.

Ninja Warrior course

Adventure seekers can expect to encounter duelling podiums, as well as tackle the famous Warped Wall and obstacles. These courses are not for the faint-hearted, although unlike on the show, people trying out the course won't soaked if they fall.

Upside Down House

Let your imagination run wild and try the unique photo experience that defies gravity. Visitors will also be able to explore exclusive rooms to Liverpool including the clouds of Candy Land and to play a retro Pac-Man arcade game.

Jurassic Adventure

Give the kids a day they will never forget by roaming with dinosaurs at Otterspool Adventure from Saturday, May 25, to Sunday, June 2. See life-size dinosaurs on the jurassic trail, discover fossils at the archaeological dig, join the prehistoric parade and even enter the Dinotech2000 Lab for the live show.

There’s a Monster in Your Show

Witness the joy of Tom Fletcher’s ‘Who’s in Your Book?’ series leap from page to Playhouse stage from Tuesday, May 28, to Saturday, June 1. There’s a Monster in Your Show is the perfect show for your little ones with lots of fun characters, lively music, and energetic performances.

Gaia returns

Birkenhead Park allows you to take a trip around the world this half term with its three-dimensional Earth exhibit by Luke Jerram, taking place from Tuesday, May 28, to Thursday, May 30. This exhibition is accompanied by themed events each day, which features dancing, singing, and showcasing community groups.

Imagine That!

In each zone – the Imagination Village, Artbeatz, Bright Sparks and Slime Factory – visitors can enjoy a range of activities, shows and workshops guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained. Children can take home everything they make including their fridge magnet, crafts, never-melting snow, souvenir photos and a pot of gooey slime.

Knowsley Seaside Carnival

Knowsley Safari is bringing back its hugely popular Seaside Carnival event, where the whole family can soak up a traditional seaside vibe, participate in carnival skills workshops and try their hand at pier-themed games. Have a go at acrobatic skills, such as aerial silks, hula-hooping and plate-spinning, as well as pier-themed games stalls, including coconut shy, tin can alley and hook-a-duck, in addition to Knowsley Safari’s existing rides and amusements.
