Leeds United have continued their series of contract announcements by confirming that young striker Marley Wilson has signed a one-year professional deal with the club.

The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a deal until the summer of 2025 and joins Joe Richards, Harry Christy and Reuben Lopata-White in committing their futures to the club. Wilson impressed for United's Under-18 side in the FA Youth Cup last term, scoring three goals in four appearances.

He also hit seven goals in just eight Under-18 Premier League games, including hat-tricks against Everton and Derby Country in a run which saw him score seven goals in the space of three matches.

A statement from Leeds United read: "Leeds United are pleased to announce Marley Wilson has signed his first professional contract with the club. The attacker has committed his future until 2025, after signing a one-year contract at Elland Road.

"A star of the Whites’ journey to the FA Youth Cup final, the 18-year-old scored in each of his first three appearances in the competition, notably netting an acrobatic volley in the victory over Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Capable of playing anywhere across the front line, Wilson has also featured for our Under-21s side in the Premier League 2. Everyone at Leeds United would like to congratulate Marley on signing a first professional contract and we look forward to his development during his time at the club."
