EXCLUSIVE Amelia Lily won't fight for Sam Thompson and says relationship was 'wrong timing'
The latest series of Celebrity Big Brother had fans glued this summer thanks to Sarah Harding’s infamous meltdowns and, of course, Amelia Lily and Sam Thompson’s blossoming romance.
The X Factor star caught the eye of the Made In Chelsea regular inside the infamous abode, and at the time he said he wanted to have something “better than a rebound” with her, after he split from his long-term girlfriend Tiffany Watson.
Though they continued to explore their spark for one another outside the house, with Amelia confirming during an exclusive chat with Yahoo Celebrity UK that the pair went on “a couple” of dates, she admitted their busy schedules was a huge obstacle and the 22-year-old singer thinks it was “wrong timing” for them.
Speaking at the launch party of the ‘Michael Jackson: Scream’ album – which is out now – she said: “Me and Sam went on a couple of dates. I mean at the end of the day he came out of a long term relationship, I came out of a long term relationship, he works with his ex.”

And asked if it would hurt her to see Sam back with Tiffany, she said: “I don’t know, I don’t know Tiffany so I can’t say anything bad about her as a person. He works with her, so he’s going to see her everyday, you can’t just switch off those feelings. It is what it is”
“Wrong timing I guess.”
Fans were left worried for Sam this week after he posted a cryptic message on Twitter saying he had just had “the worst day” of his life, and “was missing someone,” with fans suspecting it was Tiffany and not Amelia.
Today has been the worst day of my life as far as I can remember. I never knew exactly how much one person could effect my life.

However, the talented star isn’t letting her love life get in the way of work and is keen to get back in the studio to make music soon, though she confessed she hasn’t had time to watch The X Factor this year – amid reports that ratings for Simon Cowell’s talent show have nose dived in season 14.
“I haven’t actually watched it. I love the show that’s where it all started for me. I have a lot of respect for the show,” she told us.
She added: “I would love to do more music … There’s definitely talks of music at the minute. I’ve been so busy since leaving the house. I haven’t had a chance to get back in the studio but there’s been a lot of interest from people wanting me to release more stuff which is really exciting.”
And the star – who turns 23 next month – has always been inspired by the late King of Pop Michael Jackson.
“I went to a dance school and every year we did a Michael Jackson medley, and we would do Thriller, Man In The Mirror, and we would dress up. I’m a big MJ fan, tonight has been amazing, you can see there’s been no expense spared. It’s such a good event and memory of him and what a true legend he is. Not just a performer but a writer, to hear these songs, it’s like wow,” she said.
