The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey has exclusively spoken to Digital Spy about the show's status after filming recently shut down.

It was reported earlier this month that production had been paused for at least two weeks on the 13th season because one member of the production had tested positive for COVID-19.

When we recently spoke to Cynthia about all things RHOA ahead of the show returning on December 6 on Bravo and December 7 on Hayu in the UK, she gave us an update on where things stand with getting back to work.

"The current status of production is we are still quarantining right now," she explained. "We are quarantining right now, and I have to give Bravo some props.

"We have been shooting this show for almost six months now with very few incidents. They have done an amazing job of keeping us healthy and safe. We get regular testing. I just had a test yesterday. I've been getting tested once a week for six months.

"By the grace of god, we've been able to actually film this show and we only have three more weeks left. So, we should finish our quarantine hopefully, probably, by the end of next week and knock out these last couple weeks, and give you guys season 13."

Following the departure of original Real Housewives of Atlanta peach-holder NeNe Leakes this past September, the current cast will feature Cynthia, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams as well as new Housewife Drew Sidora.

Returning 'Friends of the Housewives' Marlo Hampton and Tanya Sam will be joined this season by newcomer LaToya Ali as well.

Cynthia is also partnering with Seagram's Escapes along with former Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Eva Marcille Sterling on a Holiday Marketplace to support Black-owned businesses during this festive season. To offer your support during this most generous of seasons, click here.
