Yahoo News Expected time for Watford's general election result to be declared
Readers planning to pull an all-nighter can expect to find out Watford’s General Election result in the early hours of this morning.
Declarations come in through the night and the 650 different constituencies do not finish their counts at the same time.
The politician who will be Watford's MP going forward is estimated to be declared at 3am, which is slightly on the earlier end for the country as a whole.
The first place to get declared is expected to be Blyth and Ashington at a speedy 11.30pm, while it could take until 6.30am for six areas' votes to be confirmed.
South West Hertfordshire results are expected at 3.45am, Hertsmere at 4am, and Hemel Hempstead's outcome should be known at 5am.
All timings are approximate and can be affected by issues such as delays in verifying and counting ballots, or by recounts.
There have been substantial boundary changes at this election, including for Watford, and this means there is considerable uncertainty around some timings.
Polls opened at 7am today (July 4) and will not close until 10pm. Voters should make sure to bring acceptable ID.
