Expecting Couple Flush Toilet in Creative Gender Reveal

A couple in Santo Amaro das Brotas, Brazil, received quite the response to their comical gender reveal, which involved a simple toilet flush, on January 26.

Jose Teixeira Dorotea Junior posted the video to TikTok, where it garnered over 61,000 likes, and over 2,000 comments. He told Storyful he saw the idea while he was on Instagram, and said his wife immediately loved it.

“I just didn’t know what I would put in the toilet to dye the water. Then came the idea of putting in food coloring, and it turned out great,” he said.

The video shows a bathroom decorated with various baby shower items. The toilet is flushed, and blue dye swirls around the bowl, revealing the baby is a boy.
