Avon Valley's FEAR scream park is set to open for a special summer session this weekend. The award-winning experience will be available for one night only, on Saturday July 13, as part of the park's 'Summer Frights' event.

The new scare event promises a 'spine-chilling' evening for brave visitors, building on FEAR's New World Order, the existing narrative for FEAR's Halloween experience.

Guests will embark on a 40-minute journey through the scare maze attractions, navigating the darkened corridors of X4, plunging into the murky depths of The Core and facing both the mind-bending and memory-erasing treatment of VITA NOVA, as part of the 'hair-raising' adventure.

The event is a timed linear event as you complete the New World Order Trilogy back to back and your ticket will gain you access to the full 40 minute scare experience. Before and after your time slot, you'll be able to soak up all of the thrill and fear at the on-site bar.

Available time slots, at time of writing, run from 6.15pm-9.30pm on the night. Tickets cost £25 each and can be purchased here, reports Bristol Live.

Ahead of the event, Bristolians may catch a glimpse of a rather peculiar site in the form of eight zombies who will be hopping aboard a train at Temple Meads Station, with the aim of finding their way back to Avon Valley and the Keynsham area.

Doug Douglas, the proprietor of Avon Valley Wildlife and Adventure Park, expressed his excitement for the upcoming season: "Summer 2024 is set to be our most exhilarating ever. We love being able to host thrilling one-off events like FEAR Summer Frights, while still offering our established and well-loved daily summer activities. This year, guests will be able to stay at the park until 8pm on Fridays, to really make the most of that summer evening sunshine and those later holiday bedtimes."

In a move sure to delight frequent visitors, Avon Valley is reintroducing the Boomerang ticket this summer. This scheme rewards guests with increasing discounts for multiple visits: a 25% saving on their second visit, half-price entry on the third, a whopping 75% off the fourth, and the fifth visit is completely on the house.

To top it off, new extended opening hours mean that guests can now revel in the park's offerings until 8pm, ensuring they can fully immerse themselves in the array of activities and entertainment as the summer evenings stretch out.
