Patrols have been ramped up in a bid to crack down on anti-social behaviour after reports of youth-related incidents.

Police have been increasing their presence in the Locks Heath, Park Gate, Warsash and Whiteley areas in recent days.

It follows a number of reports of youth-related anti-social behaviour in the area including speeding mopeds worrying residents.

Officers say they have conducted patrols in the area, including in Cavendish Drive, to deter any further incidents.

In a Facebook post, the force said: “Patrols are being conducted in the afternoons and evening at times reported by communities to act as a deterrent to those conducting ASB in the area, as well as to offer reassurances to residents that we take matters of ASB seriously.

“We have also received reports of speeding mopeds in the area creating vehicle nuisance and worrying residents.

“We know the effects ASB and vehicle nuisance can have on local communities, and whilst we continue to patrol where we can, you too are the eyes and ears of your local areas and we continue to thank residents for reporting.

"We actively encourage communities to report to continue reporting - all reports help to direct patrols in affected areas.”
