An “extremely rare” plot of land in Leicester is going under the hammer this month. Auctioneers are urging would-be buyers to take interest in the “superb building plot” ahead of its auction.

SDL Property Auctions say the land, which is to the rear of St Johns Road in Leicester’s Stoneygate, is not only in a "highly desirable" location, but comes with a built-in perk.

Spanning 0.12 acres, the land already has planning permission for a “large” four-bedroom detached house. However, this permission does not need to be acted on, allowing the green space to be used for other purposes.

Access to the site is provided directly off Laureston Drive. Stoneygate, which is south of Leicester city centre. SDL say that the suburb also boasts nearby “fashionable” shopping areas off Allandale Road and Francis Street, and easy public transport links make the city easy to reach.

The deal has been labelled “extremely rare” by auctioneers due to the prior planning permission. They say it is an “ideal location” to build a family home, with the approved scheme also boasting “ample parking” and a “good sized” garden. If buyers go ahead with the four-bed home, they could also meet specification and include two en-suites, a kitchen/diner, study and playroom.

A guide price of £275,000 plus fees has been set ahead of the land going under the hammer on Thursday, May 30. More information can be found on the SDL Property Auctions website.
