On May 30, 2024, Emmy-nominated comedy writer Zack Bornstein posted on X a graphic that appeared in a Fox News broadcast. According to Bornstein's post, Fox News chose to run a segment about Taco Bell changing its menu at the same moment CNN, NBC and ABC reported the news of former U.S. President Donald Trump's guilty verdict at the end of his New York hush money trial on May 30. The post received nearly 10 million views and over 163,000 likes.

The Fox News graphic read, "Taco Bell Items Rumored To Be Removed From Menu." The items listed included Quesaritos, all potato items, Loaded Grillers, Triple Layer Nacho, Beefy Frito Burrito, Spicy Tostada and 7-Layer Burrito.

However, Bornstein's post simply appeared to simply be a joke about Fox News' leaning in favor of Republicans and conservative politics.

According to the Internet Archive TV News Archive website and FoxNews.com, Fox News broadcast Trump's guilty verdict on all 34 counts of felony, just as so many other news networks did at the same time.

The TV News Archive website and FoxNews.com also confirmed, with video, that the graphic about Taco Bell eliminating items from its menu originally broadcast in July 2020.
