Family of Bears Scramble Down Tree in North Carolina

A family of bears was seen clambering down a tree in Beech Mountain, North Carolina, on May 28.

Carol Coggin said she was traveling on Beech Mountain Parkway when the car ahead came to a halt. Coggin said she could see the other road user looking up into nearly trees.

“We knew this meant only one thing,” Coggin said. “Assuming we would see one bear we were thrilled to notice the mom and her cubs. Four cubs, at that.”

“She waited patiently while the little ones shimmied down the tree. Climbing lesson was successful,” Coggin added.
