Family 'devastated' as they pay tribute to woman found on beach
The family of a woman found on a beach said they will always 'treasure the good times we had with her'. In a touching tribute, Sian Batchelor’s family said they were 'devastated' in a loving tribute issued via the police.
Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police and UK Coastguard were seen at the beach near the Pennar area of Pembroke Dock on Tuesday evening. Sian Batchelor’s family has been informed and her death is being treated as unexplained.
In a heartbreaking statement, Sian's family said: "We are devastated by our loss. Sian was a beautiful, funny, loving person. We will treasure the good times we had with her. We would now like time to grieve and would ask to be given privacy in which to do so.”
The force said earlier this week: "We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a woman who was found on a beach near Pennar, Pembrokeshire, at about 5pm on Tuesday, April 30. Her family has been informed. The death is currently being treated as unexplained."
Officers investigating the circumstances surrounding Sian’s death have appealed for anyone with information, sightings of Sian or contact from Sian, between Thursday April 25 to Tuesday April 30 to get in contact, the Mirror reported.
Several people online shared their own grief for the family. One person said: "Beautiful lady, so sad. Condolences to family."
Another added: "Another beautiful girl gone too soon, love to family, friends and all who are grieving their loss." Another person said: "Devastating news. Sincere sympathy to her family and friends. RIP Sian."
