Family of missing Rutherglen woman notified after body discovered

The family of a missing Rutherglen woman have been notified after a body was discovered in the town.

At around 11am today the body of a woman was discovered in the Bute Terrace area of Rutherglen.

Although formal identification is still to take place, the family of Michelle Conroy, who had been reported missing from Rutherglen, has been informed.

There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Police Scotland had previously made an appeal for help in tracing Michelle after she was last seen at around 5.55pm on May 18 in the Queen's Park at Queen's Drive area of Glasgow.
