Tributes have poured in for a “precious and beautiful lady” who was killed in a car crash in north Wales.

Rebecca Louise Edwards, 34, was a mum-of-one and a hard-working nurse.

She died, just days before Christmas, on the A499 near Pwllheli on Friday evening, North Wales Police said.

Osian Hicks Thomas, 20, appeared before Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with causing death by dangerous driving, drink driving and failing to stop following a road traffic accident.

Thomas, of West End, Criccieth, did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody to appear before Caernarfon Crown Court on January 14, according to the Daily Post.

Paying tribute, Ms Edwards’ family said: “Rebecca was a happy, funny and bubbly 34-year-old who touched everyone she met with her loving caring nature.

“She was a dedicated nurse at Ysbyty Gwynedd and had recently ventured into opening her own business.

“She had an amazing future ahead of her before being stolen from us.

“Rebecca would be described as a very special lady by all who knew her and will leave a great hole that can never be filled.”
