After five years of serving the community, a Prescot business will close its doors permanently next month.

Imaginarium Bistro & Roundhouse, located at Market Place, was known for its creative flair and varied events from soft play evenings for children to birthday parties and guest appearances. The menu comprised rustic Italian and Mediterranean home foods such as hummus and falafel or a long list of pasta options.

Last week the venue announced it would be closed "due to the health and well-being of family" for the foreseeable future while they made "some decisions."

Today, Imaginarium Bistro & Roundhouse shared the news they would be "bidding farewell" to customers permanently." A statement said: "It’s been a glorious 5 years, but external pressures have become too much and we have decided as a family that it is time to close our doors.

"We will be opening for the next 4 weeks on Saturdays and Sundays to bid farewell to loyal customers and friends. We hope you will come for one last meal or drink and wish us good luck for our next adventures. See you over the rainbow!"

Upset customers took to social media to share their disappointment, including Fay Latta who said: "Such a big loss to Prescot, always had a lovely meal here and was a place to come with my son during my maternity leave." Debb Mac added: "I'm so sorry to hear this. You've done so much for Prescot as a community with all of the events and activities you put on. A massive loss for everyone."
