The family of 'thrill-seeking teenager', Brandon McCormick, who died in a crash at the weekend, have paid tribute to him. The 19-year-old from Gloucester died following a collision on the B4008 in Standish, near Stonehouse, in the early hours of Sunday morning (May 12).

Gloucestershire police were called at around 12.10am with a report of a serious collision which involved a green Kawasaki off-road bike. Flowers have been placed near the scene of the incident, with messages paying tribute to the 'hardworking and courageous' young man."

In a statement, his family said: "Your laugh still rings in our memory son. I only wish more of the world got to see the version of you that we saw. Hardworking, funny, courageous - but most of all a thrill-seeking teenager.

"The protector of your sisters and brothers, the guider of your niece and nephew. Your dedication and approach to life was second to none and you lived life the way you wanted.

"Your passing will forever haunt us, but son you really lived your last few hours doing what you loved on your bike alongside your many friends. We love you son, more than yesterday, but less than tomorrow."

Following the collision, on the B4008 near to the church between Standish and Little Haresfield, road closures were put in place throughout the night. Police have appealed for information about the incident and anyone with information can contact police quoting incident 5 of May 12 through this online form.
