Cadbury has confirmed that its Dairy Milk orange bars have been discontinued, much to the disappointment of fans. The chocolate giant, based in Bournville, Birmingham, launched the 180g snack in 2021 due to a rise in demand for chocolate orange products.

However, it was noticed by fans on social media that the product was no longer available on the shelves of Sainsbury's and Tesco. This isn't the only orange chocolate variant that has disappeared, reports Birmingham Live.

When Cadbury announced that its iconic Dairy Milk bar would be released with a fruity twist, fans were thrilled and quickly purchased it. However, this week, the manufacturer announced that the bar had been removed from stores to make room for new flavours.

A spokesperson for owners Mondelez International said: "We continuously adapt our product range to ensure it meets changing tastes whilst supporting growth for our customers and business."

The quiet decision has left fans scouring for their favourite and asking Cadbury where they've gone. One fan said: "Haven't seen them in stock in ages in Sainsbury's - and their website says Out of Stock as well."

Another asked: "Hello, have you discontinued the dairy milk orange? I couldn't see it in Tesco today?"

Cadbury regularly updates its product range to introduce new favourites. Last month, it announced two brand new 180g Dairy Milk chocolate bars - the Caramel Nut Crunch and Nutty Praline Crisp.

Alterations to beloved chocolate snacks can leave fans devastated. In January, shoppers were left outraged after they noticed that Dairy Milk Marvellous Mix-ups with Oreo had vanished from the shelves.
