Fans gather to say goodbye to Sinéad O’Connor

Fans of Sinéad O’Connor gathered just south of Dublin on Tuesday to say goodbye to the late Irish singer. Roads were closed in Bray, County Wicklow, O’Connor’s home for 15 years, and people lined the Strand Road to bid farewell. Following a private funeral, where U2 star Bono and Bob Geldof were among the mourners, the procession made its way along the coastal road. The 'Nothing Compares 2 U’ singer was found dead in her London home on 26th July, aged 56. President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins released a statement, praising O’Connor’s "fearless commitment to the important issues.”.
