Catfish and the Bottlemen fans have been queuing since this morning to be first in line at their show.

The band will take to the stage tonight, Thursday, July 11, to kick off the Sefton Park music festival In The Park. Across the weekend, they'll be followed by homegrown talent Jamie Webster on Friday, July 12, while Cream Classical and the 50-piece Kaleidoscope Orchestra take over to deliver a set list curated by dance music team K-Klass on Saturday, July 13.

A range of support acts will accompany the headliners, with more than 30,000 festival goers expected to descend on Sefton Park.

Fans have been camping out at the festival's gates for hours already, fending off the gloomy and wet weather to be as close to the stage as possible.

Festival goers came well prepared with warm clothes, fast food and even seats to ensure the wait was as comfortable as possible. Friends Porsha Riley and Liv Smith are part of the queue but spent their morning travelling to Liverpool from Essex.

The pair left their home at 4am to arrive at the park by 10am. The journey doesn't mean much to die-hard fans, especially Porsha, who even boasts her own Catfish and the Bottlemen tattoo.

Catfish and the Bottlemen will be joined by superstar support acts The Mysterines and Sundara Karma. You can buy tickets for In The Park here.
