Fans say Stephanie Davis is 'what Corrie needs' as she makes Weatherfield debut
The actress has been cast as glamorous Courtney on the cobbles
Stephanie Davis has made her Corrie debut and viewers said she is “just what the street needs”.
The reality star’s arrival on the cobbles has been teased for some time and she finally turned up in Weatherfield in Wednesday night’s episode on 19 July.
The 30-year-old is playing glamorous Courtney Vance, the partner of rich businessman Darren (Ryan Early).

Corrie producer Iain MacLeod has already teased that Courtney and Darren will be the focus of a "fun, fiery storyline" in the ITV soap, with reports suggesting Courtney will have a secret affair with Aadi (Adam Hussain).
The character made her first appearance when Darren asked Aadi if he’d mind driving to collect her.
The pair started chatting as soon as Courtney got into the car, with a spark between them already evident.
Fans were thrilled to see Davis — who previously appeared in Holby City and Hollyoaks — on the cobbles and said Courtney was a great addition.
“Haha Courtney is hilarious!” one posted on Twitter.
“Just what the street needs.”
“Courtney is the type of character #Corrie has needed for ages,” said another.
“Already excited to see what it is in store for her.”
“Well Courtney is my new official #Corrie crush for the time being,” said another viewer.

“And in walks Stephanie Davis,” said another fan.
“Whatever you think of her she does soap b*** very well! This might be a giggle!”
Somebody else said it was an “iconic first episode” for the actress.

Davis is known for reality programmes such as Over the Rainbow and Celebrity Big Brother.
She also played Sinead O'Connor in Hollyoaks from 2010 to 2015.
