Fern Britton is on top form for trip to Cornwall

Fern Britton has been spending some time in Cornwall and she looks like she’s having the best time.

The former This Morning host has been keeping fans updated on her trip since announcing her separation from her husband Phil Vickery earlier this month.

The 62-year-old took to Twitter to share a photo of herself smiling, dressed in a purple jacket, white wooly hat and sunglasses.

"And mum in silly hat but warm ears," she captioned the picture.

Fans are pleased to see Fern looking happy and in good spirits on her blustery coastal walk.

“Rocking the hat and Cornwall...perfect,” one fan wrote.

While another added: “You’re looking good...and another hat trend has just begun.”

Another well wisher tweeted: "Still gorgeous in a silly hat, you're rockin' it Fern."

Fern and Phil, who married in 2000 on the iconic BBC series Ready Steady Cook both issued the same statement on their individual social media accounts announcing the spilt, and thanked fans for their “continued kindness and support”.

“After more than 20 happy years together, Phil and I have decided to go our separate ways. We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children,” Fern wrote at the time.

“We would appreciate it if our privacy is respected at this time. Thank you for your continued kindness and support.”
