Fiery Collision Shuts Down Lanes of I-40 East of Albuquerque

A fiery crash involving at least one semi-truck and an SUV prompted the shutdown of eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 outside Moriarty, New Mexico, on Wednesday, April 17, as authorities responded.

Torrance County Emergency Management announced the closure at 10:45 am and local media reported delays of more than 50 minutes.

This footage from Ricardo Muniz shows a fire engulfing two vehicles that had collided and a trailer carrying large pipes.
