Filming on 'EastEnders' due to resume by end of June
EastEnders will start shooting again next month, it has been confirmed.
Filming on the BBC One soap – which is made at Elstree Studios in north London - was stopped along with many other shows as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
But the BBC’s director of content Charlotte Moore has revealed that things are gearing up to get the action in Walford rolling again by the end of June, with social distancing measures in place.

Moore told The Telegraph that production on motoring show Top Gear was also set to restart.
News: “In light of the spread of Covid-19, filming on #EastEnders will be postponed until further notice... We have also taken the decision to reduce the amount of episodes we broadcast each week to two.”

“At the BBC, we’re determined to do everything we can,” she said.
“We’ve been looking very carefully at how we can safely put some of our shows back into production, and I’m pleased to announce that we plan to begin filming again on both EastEnders and Top Gear by the end of next month.
“We’re also exploring ways to re-start filming on more dramas and other major BBC shows as soon as possible.”
