Westminster can be an angry place the day after a General Election.

There are plenty of recriminations to be had, and today is no exception, at least according to a tweet by top broadcaster Robert Peston.

The Political Editor of ITV News took to social media to tell of a conversation he had with a leading Tory MP about Prtime Minister Theresa May.

And the language used was not for the faint-hearted.

“Senior Tory MP: “We all f***ing hate her. But there is nothing we can do. She has totally f***ed us,” said Peston.

Peston did not reveal who the senior Tory is.

Despite remaining the largest party in Westminster, the Conservative Party had an unhappy election night, losing their majority and now having to govern with the Democratic Unionist Party.

The result has led to intense pressure on Mrs May and speculation that she may not survive.

There is even speculation that she will be replaced by angry MPs with foreign Secretary Boris Johnson.

The message has been retweeted over 6,000 times.

The language used has been compared by some on social media to the star of The Thick of It comedy, Malcolm Turnbull, known for his really inventive swearing.
