Fire Engulfs Bordeaux City Hall Amid French Protests

A fire erupted at Bordeaux’s city hall on Thursday, March 23, as pension-reform protests continued throughout France.

More than 120 policemen were injured and 80 people were arrested across France throughout Thursday, France 24 reported.

In Paris, the CGT union said around 800,000 people joined in protests, the highest figure put forward by the union since the start of the protests, according to reports.

According to France’s Directorate General for Civil Aviation, flight disruption was expected at several airports throughout the day, including Paris-Orly, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Lyon.
