Firefighters attend after three-car smash in Deane

Firefighters and police worked together after a three-car smash on a Bolton road.

An engine from Bolton Central Community Fire Station was called out earlier this afternoon following a three-car crash on Chip Hill Road.

Greater Manchester Police were also in attendance.

Local residents report that the road was closed for a time as crews worked to clear up the aftermath.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Shortly after 3.50pm this afternoon (Saturday, 29 June), one fire engine from Bolton Central Community Fire Station was called to attend a road traffic collision involving three cars on Chip Hill Road, Bolton.

“Crews arrived quickly and worked alongside colleagues from Greater Manchester Police to make the area safe.

“Firefighters were in attendance for approximately 30 minutes.”

Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
