Firefighters called to blaze in Middlesbrough home

Firefighters were called to a blaze in Middlesbrough on Wednesday.

Cleveland Fire Brigade responded after a blaze broke out in a terraced property kitchen on Crescent Road. Two engines were in attendance after the emergency service was called at 8.30pm.

The home sustained severe damage to the oven and worktops. A Cleveland Fire Brigade spokesperson said: " Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on 24/04/24 at 20.29pm to an incident on Crescent Road, Middlesbrough.

"Two fire engines were in attendance from Middlesbrough. Fire in kitchen which was out on arrival. Two Breathing Apparatus (BA) and Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) were used. Severe damage to oven and worktops. We got the stop message at 20.45pm.”
