Firefighters rush to Brixham harbour boat blaze

A sailing boat had to be towed into Brixham harbour after a fire broke out on board. The boat, called Floss, was brought into harbour by the crew at Torbay RNLI Lifeboat station this afternoon (Sunday June 23) after receiving a call for help at 4.35pm.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said pumps from its fire stations in Paignton and Brixham were also called to the harbour to support the coastguard and RNLI.

A video shared with DevonLive shows fire crews at the scene with firefighter rigging up water pumps straight into the harbour and working on a pontoon alongside RNLI colleagues.
