First Couple To Get Divorced Over Ashley Madison Hack

The first couple are to get divorced after the high-profile leak of thousands of names, addresses and email addresses from infidelity site Ashley Madison.

An unnamed married woman has begun proceedings after finding her husband’s details among a ‘dump’ released by hackers.

Nigel Shepherd of family law firm Mills and Reeve revealed to the Daily Mail that he is helping the woman begin proceedings.

Mr Shepherd said, ‘If someone finds out if their partner is set up on a site which exists wholly for facilitating adultery, it’s hardly surprising they are taking advice about it.’

Hackers dumped a big cache of data containing millions of email addresses for U.S. government officials, UK civil servants and high-level executives at European and North America corporations late on Tuesday, the latest cyber attack to raise concerns about Internet security and data protection.
