Yahoo News First look at Sinclair Daniel's horror series The Other Black Girl
The first trailer for Hulu's upcoming horror series The Other Black Girl has arrived.
The series, which is based on Zakiya Dalila Harris' bestselling novel of the same name, stars Sinclair Daniel as Nella Rogers, an NYC-based editorial assistant who is tired of being exploited and marginalised as the only Black woman in her workplace (via The Hollywood Reporter).
Things start looking up when another Black woman named Hazel-May McCall (Ashleigh Murray) is hired, but when Hazel becomes the office darling, Nella begins to spiral before discovering that something sinister is going on.

"I feel like I'm completely losing my mind," Nella says in the trailer as she begins to see and experience things she can't explain.
We then watch Nella produce a threatening note from her pocket that reads "Leave Wagner now" before she admits: "This has been driving me crazy."
The Other Black Girl, which is executive produced by Rashida Jones, also stars Brittany Adebumola (The Equalizer), Hunter Parrish (Ratched), Bellamy Young (Scrubs) and Garcelle Beauvais (Spider-Man: Homecoming).

Daniel is no stranger to the horror genre, having recently starred in Patrick Wilson's directorial debut Insidious: The Red Door.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Daniel explained how Wilson was the ideal director for her since they share a similar background in theatre and TV.
"He was very sympathetic to all of my anxieties and really helped me build confidence throughout this process," she said. "I felt like he had really great vocabulary to talk to us as actors, and then also talk to people on the other side of the camera because he's done it all."
The Other Black Girl premieres on Hulu on September 13.
