First picture of man who died in East Lancs Road crash

A man who died in a crash on the East Lancs Road last week has been pictured for the first time.

Kevin Bannon was riding his motorbike on the East Lancashire Road on the morning of May 9 when he was hit by a bin lorry. Mr Bannon, who was 45, died at the scene. The driver of the bin lorry stopped at the scene and is assisting police with inquiries.

A 33-year-old man, who was driving a third vehicle, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving a vehicle while unfit through drugs.
