First trailer for Aubrey Plaza's critically-acclaimed comedy
Aubrey Plaza has some wisdom to share with her younger self in the first trailer for Megan Park's upcoming comedy My Old Ass.
Park's second feature-length film as a writer and director stars Maisy Stella as 18-year-old Elliott Labrant.
After a mushroom trip on her birthday, Elliott comes face-to-face with her 39-year-old self (played by Plaza) who warns her against falling for a certain boy named Chad (Wednesday's Percy Hynes White).
Things get complicated when teen Elliott struggles to follow her older self's own advice.

My Old Ass premiered at Sundance Film Festival earlier in the year and has earned positive reviews ahead of its September release in the US.
Alongside Stella, Plaza and White, the movie also stars Maddie Ziegler, Kerrice Brooks, Maria Dizzia, Seth Isaac Johnson, and Carter Trozzolo.
It's been co-produced by Margot Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerley via their LuckyChap Entertainment company.
Reviews out of Sundance praised the movie as a celebration of "being young and dumb", celebrating the cast for "edifying that moment in time just before it passes" (TheWrap).

Meanwhile, Harper's Bazaar's review advises moviegoers to "bring tissues" for the film's most emotional moments, writing: "Park's sophomore feature is sweet, locally specific, funny, and gradually heartbreaking in the most inventive fashion (bring tissues), one that maturely celebrates girlhood and young romance shame-free, with disarming sincerity."
IndieWire's review says the on-screen relationship between the two Elliotts is enough to make the movie well worth a watch.
"The bond between Plaza and Stella is strong enough to sell the film's central big idea with ease," their review reads.
My Old Ass will be released on September 13 in the US, while a UK release date is yet to be announced.
