Five acres of land in Greater Manchester beauty spot for sale for just £1

Property website Rightmove is advertising two fields for sale in Oldham with an asking price of just £1. The fields are for sale in Greenfield, known for its rugged stone cottages, handsome old pubs, and jaw-dropping countryside.

The 5.2 acres of land is split over adjoining fields. Both plots have never had planning permission applied for but they're in close proximity to period stone houses, with access through farm gates.

The first field is currently being used as grazing land which provides a 'small income'. It has road access on two sides and is nearby Tunstead cottage and other period stone residences.

On the second field, a 13m by 5m timber hut, built for the Girl Guides, on solid ground even has a water supply. The site has previously been used for camping and overlooks Saddleworth's ancient 'Pots and Pans' monument.

The land has been listed on Rightmove by Shaw estate agency Cornerstone Estates & Lettings. Both plots of land are to be sold together but are separated by a lane.

The property listing reads: "5.2 Acres of land in Greenfield. This land is split over two fields and has never had planning permission applied for, although period stone built residencies are in close proximity.
