When will people realise it’s unwise to get drunk before getting on a fligh?

No surprises - Authorities take it seriously when you abuse and threaten flight staff.

These photos capture the moment five men were escorted off a holiday jet by police after being drunk and abusive towards cabin crew.

It is thought the men became threatening towards staff after they announced that passengers on the late evening flight would only be allowed one alcoholic drink each.

It is also claimed that the group then persisted to abuse members of the cabin crew for the duration of the two-and-a-half hour flight from Bristol to Ibiza.

Spanish police boarded the EasyJet flight on arrival at the Balearic island and escorted the men off the plane.

A passenger on board the flight on July 1, said: ‘There were quite a few hen and stag dos on board the flight, like there often is on these flights.

‘This group of lads were sat quite close to the back of the plane. When we got on the plane we were told that we would only be allowed one drink - as is quite normal now.

‘But these lads got quite abusive about it. They were abusive to the staff for the duration of the flight, so they reported it to the Captain.’

A spokesperson for EasyJet said: ‘We have a duty to ensure the safety and well-being of all on board.

‘EasyJet’s cabin crew and ground staff are trained to assess and evaluate all incidents and act quickly and appropriately.

‘We do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour on board and always push for prosecution.’
