Five people in custody following disturbance

Five people have been arrested following reports of a disturbance yesterday.

The incident occurred on Trawden Close Hull, on Sunday 23 June. Humberside Police received a call around 2.30pm which suggested a group of people were fighting in the street.

One person was believed to be carrying a hammer. As a result, damage has been caused to two vehicles.

Officers were deployed to the area and five people were arrested at the scene in connection. All five remain in police custody at this time.

Detective Inspector Jason Gourley said: “I know an incident like this will cause concern amongst the community, but I would like to offer my reassurance that we do believe this to be an incident between people known to each other.

“We are continuing lines of enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and would appeal for anyone with any information who may have been in the area at the time, or anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 315 of 23 June.
