Flames From Wildfire in Czech National Park Seen From Germany

Flames from the wildfire burning in the Bohemian Switzerland National Park in the Czech Republic could be seen from Germany as communities were evacuated late on Monday, July 25.

Footage recorded from Zirkelstein, Germany, across the River Elbe from the national park, shows flames and smoke burning patches of forest in Hrensko, Czech Republic.

The Fire and Rescue Service for the Ústí nad Labem region of the Czech Republic said on their website that around 140 people in communities near Edmund’s Gorge, located in the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, were evacuated overnight along with a children’s summer camp in the area.
