Fleetwood residents urged to 'stay vigilant' after suspicious man enters home at 3am

Residents are being urged to 'stay vigilant' after a man was seen entering a house at 3am.

Lancashire Constabulary said the stranger entered the rear of a residential property on Beach Road in Fleetwood through the garden in the early hours of Tuesday (July 9). He then quickly fled the scene after realising he was being recorded and had activated the security lights.

Officers in Fleetwood have now shared CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the 'suspicious' incident. They are also urging residents in the area to 'stay vigilant' and ensure gates, windows and doors are locked in the evening.

In a statement, Fleetwood Area Police said: "Do you know this man? We're looking to speak to the man pictured as we believe he may be able to assist us with reports of suspicious circumstances.

"On 9th July at around 3am it was reported that a man entered the rear of a residential property through the garden around the area of Beach Road in Fleetwood. They quickly left the property when they realised, they were being recorded and the security lights switched on.

"Please stay vigilant and ensure your gates, windows and doors are locked on the evenings. Any information in relation to this male can be given by Emailing : 7259@lancashire.Police.uk. Log Reference LC-20240709-0304"
