Fleur East supported after admitting 'it was touch and go' and says 'nice to know'

Fleur East has been flooded with support from fans after admitting it was "touch and go". The BBC Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two host spoke out on Instagram as she posed up for fans on her Grid on Sunday (April 14), with her issuing a lengthy statement.

Fleur said: "While I was still pregnant, I received a booking to perform at a gig. It was touch and go as to whether or not I would do it because it would be so soon after giving birth. But this weekend, three weeks after having Nova, I decided I was ready to get back on stage and see how I get on.

"I was anxious being without our baby girl for a bit and my body definitely doesn’t feel the same, but surprisingly the energy took over. It felt amazing to perform with these incredible ladies who gave me good, positive vibes on stage. I was able to get out there, move my body, sing and do what I love and then get back to the little person I love with all my heart.

"I spoke to lots of you on my stories about Mum guilt and feeling anxious and it’s nice to know I’m not alone, we all experience it in some way." Fleur signed off by saying: "I’m told that it will get easier and a happy Mama means a happy bubba."

"Your amazing. You look fabulous! But please also REST. Take time. Its honestly the only real time your allowed, with a new baby. Xx," a fan replied. A second said: "Great work and your baby girl will think wow how amazing was my mummy on that stage 3 weeks after having me xxx what a role model xxx"

"I'm a better mum for working but the mum guilt doesn't ease, my girls are now 15 and I still get it. However, the older they get the more they understand why you're going to work xx," a third said.
