Flight Carrying Royals to Scotland Tracked by Thousands

More than 100,000 people tracked a plane traveling from London to Aberdeen online on Thursday, September 8, as several members of the UK’s royal family traveled to Balmoral Castle amid concern over Queen Elizabeth II’s health, the BBC reported.

The website flightradar24.com, where the flight was tracked by large numbers, showed a trijet aircraft, flight KRF23R, operated by Centreline, as it flew from Northolt to Aberdeen.

Minutes after the plane landed at Aberdeen, Chris Ship, ITV’s royal editor said, “Prince William, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, and Sophie Wessex have just landed on an RAF plane at Aberdeen airport.”

Neither the nature of the flight, nor the identities of those on board were confirmed.

Buckingham Palace said “doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.” Credit: flightradar24.com via Storyful
