Flight from Glasgow makes detour after mid-flight emergency
A FLIGHT travelling from Glasgow has made a detour following a mid-flight emergency.
Jet2 flight LS135 to Rome, which departed Glasgow Airport shortly after 7am today (January 20), issued a 7700 squawk alert.
The alert can be used for a general emergency, and can refer to a technical, environmental or medical incident.
A spokesperson for the airline said there was a "minor fault" with the aircraft.

Flightrader24 shows the plane was over Paris when it did u-turn.
It has since landed at London Stanstead and passengers will be transferred onto a replacement plane.
A Jet2 spokesperson said: "We can confirm that flight LS135 from Glasgow to Rome followed standard operating procedure and diverted to London Stansted this morning (Monday, January 20), due to a minor fault indication.
"The aircraft landed safely, and customers will be transferred onto a replacement aircraft to continue their journey."
