FlixBus has announced a new fast coach service between London and Edinburgh or Glasgow. If you’re planning to travel between London, Edinburgh and Glasgow at a fraction of the cost of a typical train ticket, then look no further.

FlixBus offers an easy and quick way to buy bus and train tickets online and travel not just across the UK, but Europe too. But, if Scottish summertime is what you’re looking for this year, then you’ll be pleased to know FlixBus has revealed a new high-speed route to the country in under eight hours.

Tickets start at as little as £14.99 between Edinburgh and London and only £12.99 between Glasgow and London. Not only is this £5 cheaper than comparable services by popular bus company, National Express, but it is also nearly an hour quicker.

Flixbus has also recently expanded the number of services on its Scottish network, adding destinations like Inverness, Pitlochry and Aviemore complementing its existing routes covering Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth, Stirling and Edinburgh. Andreas Schorling, Managing Director of FlixBus UK, emphasised the enhancements: “Our popular services between Edinburgh, Glasgow and London have always been affordable, comfortable and sustainable- and now they’re faster too!

"We have over 70 cities and towns now on our UK network, plus international routes, and we’re now bringing travellers to their destination quicker than ever.”

It’s also worth noting that National Entitlement Card holders, including YoungScot (for Scottish citizens up to the age of 21), can travel on all Scottish FlixBus services for free, allowing more accessible travel for young Scots. This addition aligns with the company’s commitment to democratising travel and providing sustainable, high-quality coach services all over the UK. Recently, the company also piloted the first scheduled electric coach service between England and Wales.

The new services will be operated by McGill’s Bus Group, featuring FlixBus branded Yutong vehicles equipped with facilities like free unlimited Wi-Fi and charging available for every passenger. For further information and to book tickets, visit http://www.flixbus.co.uk/.
