Flood Watch Issued for Parts of Southern California as Rain Drenches Los Angeles

Heavy rain fell in the Los Angeles area on Tuesday, November 8, with the National Weather Service (NWS) issuing flood watches for several parts of Southern California.

The NWS told Southern California residents to “grab the raincoat and umbrella as it’s gonna be a wet one today.”

Footage posted by Twitter user @Rob_on_sisukas on Tuesday shows heavy rain in Los Angeles. The user said the rain was “coming down nice and steady” and caused some “urban flooding” in downtown LA.

The NWS reported that the “strong early season storm” was expected to bring one to three inches (25mm to 76mm) of rain by Wednesday. Credit: @Rob_on_sisukas via Storyful
